There is so much to do prior to entering the classroom. I started by printing off all of my responsibilities that were provided to me via my university, a sample schedule, as well as ideas and suggustions for introducing yourself to your cooperating teacher. I sent a quick introduction email and thank you to my cooperating teacher, went out and got a nice 1.5 inch three ring binder, dividers, and a calendar that is three whole punched. The result is above..In addition I have purchased stickers, after all what child does not love to get a sticker...
Prior to my first day, which is next Monday, I am going to volunteer in the classroom for a week for two to three hours a day, this will help me to become acquainted with the students, teacher, and paraprofessionals. By the time my first day gets here I will have an understanding of what is expected of me from the school. Speaking of which it is time I head that way.. Day two of volunteering.
